Description:

The Accounting Administrator is responsible for supporting the accounting department with all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and reporting. Match invoices, purchase orders and packing slips; Enter invoices to accounting system and close out purchase orders; Review vendor invoices and ensure supporting backup for payment processing; Maintain listing of accounts payable; Maintain vendor files; Compile list of invoices to be paid for weekly cheque runs; Communicate payment information to vendors and resolve any outstanding issues; Create sales invoices weekly; Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to prioritize and manage a constantly fluctuating workload with capability of adhering to strict deadlines; Strong communication skills (both verbal and written); Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Sage 50; Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role; University degree or College diploma in Business Administration, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance
