Description:
Perform predictive and corrective maintenance on facility assets and complete scheduled preventative maintenance, to ensure the highest degree of reliability in a safe and cost effective manner; Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety; Perform time critical repairs on packaging and production equipment; Assist engineering and maintenance with projects and equipment upgrades; Maintain, repair, upgrade, install and test electrical controls and equipment; Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications; Maintains record of work performed on a daily log sheet and preventative maintenance documents; Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are followed as per regulations; Follow directions from the Maintenance Lead and ManagerQualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment; Journeyman Electrician Certification (442A or 309A); Food processing background is considered an asset; PLC Programming and troubleshooting skills – would be an asset; Ability to read, interpret, and appropriately apply diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, and blueprints; Experience installing and maintaining power distribution systems, automation systems, lighting, and building wiring; Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; Flexible work schedule to work 12-hour continental shift rotation and open to on-call shifts including overtime; Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team; Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and willingness to learn; Must meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc.
