Funding to Train Team Members
The Canada Ontario Job Grant gives your business funding to help train your team members. You choose the employee; you choose the training! UHC can help your business apply for funding up to a maximum of $10,000 per trainee. This funding can be used for training such as: tuition and fees, or even textbooks and materials.

Eligibility Requirements:
In order to qualify, your business must:
- Be a registered business of the Province of Ontario
- Contribute at least 1/6 to half of training costs (dependent on the size of the business)
- Employ the worker you plan to train
- Have insurance, and comply with labour and human rights legislation
- NOT already be receiving government funding to train the same employee
The employee you choose to train must:
- Be a current employee
- Have an employer to sponsor them
- Be a resident of Ontario
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person
- Not be already taking full-time education or training
